Color

Ello!

Well, it hasn't been that long since I blogged last (I am giving myself a hypothetical pat on the back).  Today's "theme" is going to be colors.  Vibrant, rich, saturated colors.  These three photos are some of my favorite.  My family and I like to call them "desktop photos."  To be honest, they've each been my desktop background more than once.  I think I really like these photos because they are so rich and full by nature.  As you guys know, I love nature.... everything about it, so naturally, I am drawn to photos like these which really highlight it's true beauty.

I'll never deny it, I am in LOVE with farmers markets.  Something about fresh-grown produce is so appealing and also photogenic! Also, who knew carrots came in this many different variations?  Theyre delicious (and healthy).

Hands down, I'd live here in a heartbeat.  This is the definition of Caribbean - clear water and white sand.

Would you believe me if I told you this is a college campus? Well it is...
University of Richmond (Go Spiders!!). Not only one of the prettiest schools but also one of the most beautiful views.  Such a New England type of look and town.  The texture of the water is beautiful with the swirled shadows and colors or the reflecting trees.

Well, gosh that was super fun. I need to travel more. None of these photos were taken in my home state.  Traveling is something I know I will be doing a lot of in the future.  There is so much to learn and so much to see.

That's all for now!

A Sad Start

Well, I've already let myself down.  A new post is long overdue.  I have gone on countless photography excursions and now I am excited to show you all :) The sad thing, what was written up to this point was written on July 17th and well, now it is September 4th.  This might become a journal AND photography blog, just because with college starting, I have little to no time to do anything.  In honor of school starting I will post some pictures of my beautiful school, Indiana University!

Something about this tree is super interesting to me.  I really like the shadows and the red/brown tangled branches.  Did you know that IU is considered the top "tree campus?"  We have every tree natural to the state.  For every tree cut down, two must be planted.  Yay nature!

Every time I walk past this pond I stop and take a pictures.  Honestly, I can't even believe this is on a college campus.  Sometimes when I go on the edge of the pond I flinch because little frogs jump into the water.  I guess that explains all of the lily pads.  If I could (and I might), I am going to get a chair, and sit in the shade of this tree and do homework.

Bizarrely, this photo is hardly edited.  Good timing I guess.  It seems almost as if I had edited half of the sky to be black and white.  Here is one of 9 clocks on campus.  Every hour it plays another song.  Let me tell you, they are the most bizarre, irrelevant songs.  Happy birthday at 9 am?  Kentucky fight song at 4 pm?  I don't get it either... and why are we supporting Kentucky............ go IU??

Why do I think of that horrible Twilight movie series when I see this picture?? AH. Besides that, I really do like this picture.  Turquoises, blues, and greens are overwhelming here.  Such a textured photo.  I think this photo is pretty ominous.  It has a certain mysteriousness to it.

Ok folks, well that is all for tonight....... I'm sounding like I just took you through an intensive tour of my vast collection of photographs.  I WILL get better at this I PROMISE.  I know there are people out there that are reading this, and quite frankly that makes me pretty happy.  I guess my sass hasn't deterred as many people as I had anticipated.  That's all for now, homework calls (ugh).
